Door 121 SS 2011-12

Today I was shown around Door 121's Spring Summer 2011/12 press day for Australian designers such as Lovers & Collaborators, POL Design, Mere Footwear, Sabatini and more. A warming rainbow of light not only on the walls but along the racks, had me wanting Spring here in Sydney already. Bright pops of colour blocking, thin pleating and thick weaving, light crochet knits and tassles, and those amazing 'genie' sheer insert pants that I couldn't quite get the best photo of.

As I've said before, if you happened to see me running around RAFW trying to get to shows you may have noticed I didn't have much time to sleep, eat and blog let alone get any outfit photos. I thought this was fine (last minute throw together outfits) but I have been receiving a lot of emails from people asking what I did wear. One thing I very rarely ever purchase- heels. Especially platform heels at that. If you know me personally- chances are you've noticed my height doesn't need to be exaggerated too often. These new See By Chloe sandal platforms are my exception. My very small shoe collection is nearly all black, so my wardrobe is loving these dusty pink's rare and very wearable, transeasonal addition.

Shakuhachi RAFW

Fun, flirty, sleek and sexy styles from Shakuhachi's "Block Party". All trends for Spring/Summer were covered from colour blocking, matching separates, neon bright, tan leather, embellishment & tassles. My favourite piece was a pair of white lace mini shorts I couldn't snap a photo of in time, but will accompany the rest of my Shakuhachi piece's in my wardrobe come Spring.
