The Calm

Wearing: Zimmermann The Calm Panelled smock top, H&M jeans, Zara clutch and heels, YSL ring.

As I've mentioned before, I am always on the look out for tops that are more than basic tee's or blouses. This cut out and backless smock is exceptionally stunning, and has enough detail to be the statement piece that allows me to wear and get away with plain black jeans. In this confused state of the weather the long sleeves but light to wear is a perfect outfit option. The modest high neck collar is evened out with the gorgeous, suggestive line of the cut out back, and if your bust needs a bra (unlike mine) then a white singlet will do the trick.

San Fran Photo Diary

After LA we took a very short, but worthwhile road trip up to San Fran. Being there for only 2 nights, we managed to cram a lot of sight seeing, shopping and eating (I have never eaten so much amazing French toast in my life!). Being tourists at the Pink Ladies, driving down the windiest road and strolling along Pier 39 were all part of the fun and I fell in love with the city and feel good vibes straight away. What I didn't expect from San Fran was the amazing vintage. If you're wanting endless genuine vintage stores, with thrift stores right next door all over flowing with cheap vintage and second hand... San Fran is one of the best I've seen in the world. Sure, there are a couple of over priced ones but a few more stores up you will find and fall in love with something even more, for half the price. Along the street near the famous corner of Ashbury and Haight was where we spent a whole day rummaging, where I came out with a gorgeous vintage black and brown leather bucket back with gold buckles for just $40. Nicole found a pair of vintage YSL heels in her size for just $90 from Wasteland. My favourite vintage store was 'NO' on Valencia Street in Mission, where the lovely owner was sewing and greeting browsers to her beautifully set up store.

With the fog setting in each afternoon we raced to catch glimpses of the sun setting over the Golden Gate Bridge. I've been to San Francisco before, about ten years ago on a family trip and it always gives me shivers standing in the same place years later, and reflecting. I wonder where I will have been ten years from now...
