Slits

Wearing: Friend Of Mine dress, Zara coat and heels, Marcs clutch and friends vintage heirloom ring.

It feels that all I ever do is stock up on adaptable, shell tops or dresses with original quirks. This bright red smock was transformed thanks to the sleek and sly cut out elbow slits. Definitely not the most practical in winter, but small risks are necessary not only for fun but as I am struggling with stretching the contents of my light luggage this week.

The Manhattan Vintage Fair is on this weekend and I cannot wait for the overdue rummage. If anyone has any more shopping recommendations for New York I would genuinely appreciate it, as my ventures haven't been as successful as I'd otherwise hoped for (sold nearly my entire wardrobe before I left Sydney). If you know of any up and coming labels in the city, intimate boutiques or even 'garage' sales please let me know!

Clean Lines

Wearing: Maurie & Eve pants, Zara shirt and heels, Michael Kors watch

Making the most of the sunshine and warmth this morning, and the fact that this is most likely the only time I will be able to step out of the apartment without hiding beneath a layers of every coat I brought with me. I don't do well with the cold and despite creeping in to my bones I have brushed it off focusing rather on the pure excitement of being here. Today was spent shopping on Broadway in Soho and finished with my first High Tea with champagne at The Crosby Hotel.

As I'm quite tall I have always struggled finding pants that are long enough without losing structure. This sleek and flowing pair by Maurie & Eve are the first to feel like they were tailored to suit my body. Crisp winter white staple paired with my favourite colour that I am making the most of being so available at the moment.
