columbia road xo

if you live in, or are visiting london, make sure you spend a sunday morning at columbia road during the flower markets. it quickly became my favourite of all london markets! get a fresh coffee, wander down the packed and buzzing street surrounded by hundreds of beautiful flowers. followed by a walk home through brick lane markts and vintage stores, with tea and brownies at the vintage emporium. when the sun is out in london it really is the perfect way to spend the day. pat bought me two bunches of gorgeous cream carnations to brighten up my room for my last week in london, and i still can’t believe how cheap they were compared to back home in australia! two bunches for 5pounds, absolutely crazy. unfortunately i didn’t have a vase to put them in so we had to buy them, which ended up costing more then the flowers themselves :) wearing; zara blazer, h&m maxi, topshop knit and hunter boots.

it happens a lot where i walk in to a boutique or shop and think, “wow, this is what i want mine to be like”… but the vintage emporium took it to a complete new level. with every antique and accessories so perfectly collected, with drying roses and lit candles, tea & scones, vinyl, and a big vintage store beneath. it was too easy to lay back in a big cumfy couch and decide to never leave.
