Camberwell Sunday market is hands down the best markets I have been to in Australia. Huge with hundreds of stalls, an array of new, second hand and vintage, community driven, friendly and cheap. It is exactly what every market should be. Unfortunately I was only there for the last half hour so didn't get to take my time, but I managed to wrangle quite a few bargains and snapshots (unlike Melbourne stores where I was told off for having a camera in my bag...). I was a very happy girl after purchasing a denim overshirt, four dresses, jumpsuit, clutch, poncho, ring, and chords all for under roughly $60. Definitely taking my larger suitcase with me in a few weekends.
P.s If you happen to see me wandering around (often solo) in an unknown city please say hi, I would love to meet! (Much funner than being flooded with emails afterwards).
ohhhhhh!!!! Camberwell Markets!!! haha i cant believe it shuts so early!! Every single time I used to go I'd sleep in and get there half an hour before it closes!! But always managed to fit in a jam donut from the donut dude! :) you're making me miss my home town!! XX lizzy
ReplyDeleteGAHHHH!! i love everything that you have photographed here! Looks like I will need to pay Melbourne a proper, solid visit!
