Vintage Winter Wonderland xo
Each week I receive dozens of emails asking advice on where to buy vintage in store. Having just temporarily relocated to Sydney city, I thought I'd start sharing with you all some places I visit/shop. Around the corner from my place I stumbled upon "Vintage Winter Wonderland", a pop up store full of vintage winter wooly treasures.
I had a lovely chat with Jacob who was running the store, who told me of his extensive love affair with vintage especially from the 1950's, and his favourite sourcing spots in the States. Stocking Queen Justine Vintage, this pop up store was created due to excess stock, therefore the items are incredibly well priced for the quality of vintage the racks hold. Running until Friday 17th June, at Blank Space Gallery 374 Crown Street, Surry Hills. For more information and a lurk, visit Queen Justine Vintage.
I'm heading to Melbourne weekend after next, and would love if anyone has any suggestions of where to shop, what to see, where to eat etc. I've been several times before and adore the city, but would love to find some hidden jems.

Beautiful clothing! Adore the cream jumper and the sequined hot pants and bra thing :) The exterior of the pop up shop is great as well.

ReplyDeletedefinitely go see harry wragg - some great vintage and one off pieces. there's a store in the same building as retrostar vintage (also one in fitzroy i think).
I live in Melbourne, and there's some great vintage places around. Retrostar on Swanston st, Melbourne City, Lost and Found on smith street collingwood, actually there's quite a few on Smith Street, Thread Den in Fitzroy. Those are just a few, but there's heaps more around if you feel like exploring :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to go hunting for some vintage shops in Bucharest. I miss the exciting feeling of descovering something amazing to wear. This shop is like a dream and the red shoes are very nice.
ReplyDeletenaked for satan on fitzroy st has killer cocktails and bar food!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! There's a bunch of places you have to visit when in Melbourne.. Camberwell markets on a sunday, Rooftop bar on Swanston street, Flinders lane for shops, Degraves street for cafe's, Brunswick/Fitzroy for vintage, Madame Brussels for cocktails and many many many more :) It's all about going down whatever laneway you come across and you're sure to find a gem!
