Wearing: Shakuhachi crochet dress, 3.1 Phillip Lim handbag, Super sunglasses, YSL ring, Michael Kors watch & Topshop flats.
After an intense, non stop fortnight in New York I flew to LA for a few days of recuperating. I met up with Nicole of Gary Pepper Vintage and her boyfriend Luke, and Emily of Little Black Book where we managed to get in to a bit of mischief over our short Californian stint... more to come later.
On the Friday Nicole and I met the beautiful Olivia of Lust for Life and her boyfriend Michael for lunch in downtown LA (you can read her post here). One of my favourite things about travelling is meeting people, as they are the perfect reflection of wherever you are, and always offer insights a traveller might otherwise overlook. This also extends to meeting other bloggers; having an online blog is only one part of our lives, and it is an amazing platform that has introduced me to such incredible girls that I love getting to know more personally. It is also quite handy having friends located all around the world! After lunch Nicole and I spent the remaining hours of light sitting by the pool of the Standard Hotel, cocktails in hand and being the first time we had a moment to think about where we were, we couldn't stop smiling.
I remember seeing this Shakuhachi little white crochet daisy dress while at RAFW earlier this year along with the micro shorts and jacket version all the girls were chatting about afterwards. I was sent this just before I left for NY and was so happy it is the perfect piece for effortless wearing and light packing. The peter pan collar line is leather and somehow works beautifully contrasting the floral crochet.
Oh my goodness that dress is perfect jess!
